Teddy Browser
Project Overview
Teddy Browser is a conceptual web browser designed from the ground up for bothdesktop and mobile platforms. The goal was to create a user-friendly, playful, andfully responsive browsing experience, complete with custom branding, interfaceelements, and navigation flows.
The name “Teddy” inspired a soft, approachable tone—making the browser feel lesslike a technical tool and more like a helpful companion.
Challenge / Goal
Most browser interfaces feel cold or overly utilitarian. The challenge was to design a UI that remains fully functional and efficient, while adding a layer of personality, warmth, and visual clarity.
The project had to:
• Design an intuitive layout for both desktop and mobile
• Maintain consistency across platforms
• Introduce subtle branding without compromising usability
• Make everyday browsing feel a little more friendly and human
DESIGN APPROACH
Brand Identity
• The logo features a stylized teddy bear, blending geometric simplicity with softness.
• The color palette uses warm tones with calm blues and beiges to suggest coziness and trust.
• Rounded UI elements, smooth transitions, and soft shadows support the friendly tone.Desktop UI
• Classic browser layout: address bar, tab manager, bookmark bar, and settings panel.• Tab shapes and icons follow a playful, minimal style.
• Hover effects and microinteractions were kept gentle and fluid to reduce cognitive load.Mobile UI
• Compact bottom navigation with key controls: Back, Forward, Tabs, Home, Menu.
• Smooth tab switcher with grid preview.
• Search/address bar is docked at the top with auto-hide when scrolling.
• Designed for thumb accessibility, keeping all primary actions within reach.
USER EXPERIENCE FEATURES
• Teddy Mode: A calming theme for late-night browsing with soft contrast and warmer tones.
• Honeycomb Tabs: Visually grouped tabs to help organize by task or mood.
• Privacy Snaps: Animated lock icon that gives instant feedback when users land on secure pages.
Outcome / Solution
Teddy Browser is more than a UI—it’s an approach to digital comfort. It delivers all the expected browser features in a format that feels inviting, modern, and human-centered.
By merging practical UX with personality-driven branding, the final product balances function, emotion, and clarity.

This project pushed me to think about:
